Duke 7

Sales of seedlings of clonal subjects. It comes from a plant in Mexico, a sapling that was chosen in the 50’s by Dr. G. Zentmyer, but was not released until the mid-1970s. It was the first variety of subjects available against the root inflammation caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi and is still recommended as a subject in California and South Africa for its productivity.

This subject is intense, with good frost tolerance. Its tolerance to Phytophthora cinnamomi is moderate, but it is more tolerant to Phytophthora citricola. Production of good sized fruit at the beginning of the season. They tend to remain green in cool soils during the winter, when trees are more sensitive to chlorosis. In addition, it causes a less alternative relationship than other subjects. Not recommended for poor aerated soils, salinity problems or replanting.

Dusa®

Sales of seedlings of clonal subjects. It has a strong rhizome. Hass avocado transplanted at Dusa is more productive than at Duke 7. It has high resistance to salinity and root peel caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi. It is a new subject that is not yet widespread in Spain, however, it is the most common in California. This subject is suitable for transplantation.

Toro Canyon

From Mexico. Branch comes from a survivor of an area attacked by Phytophthora cinnamomi. It has a high tolerance to cold and root rot caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi. It is very tolerant of Phytophthora cancer or Phytophthora citricola rot. The medium size of its dome is a very efficient fruit production volume. It is more tolerant of salinity than other Mexico. subdivisions.

Seeds
Lula

Seeds, a hybrid between the tribes of West India and Guatemala, particularly resistant to salinity due to its origin in West India, very strong and compatible with commercial fruit varieties. It withstands limestone well. Not recommended for cold climates, heavy soils or soils contaminated with Phytophthora cinnamomi.

Walter Hole

This Mex. the subject comes directly from the seeds. It is very cold tolerant and causes moderate intensity in the fruit variety. It has a good affinity with commercial varieties. Do not use in landscaping or heavy soils.

Brokaw 05

Mexico. sewer struggle. It is a choice of Brokaw España very adapted to the Mediterranean climate. Descendant of Topa Topa is very cold tolerant and produces very homogeneous plantations.

G-6

From the hybrid subject of Mexico-Guatemala. Some plants have some tolerance to Phytophthora cinnamomi. It is somewhat less cold tolerant than pure Mexico rhizome. G-6 is usually propagated using seeds. It is suitable for reconstitution.
